A little Italian escape,
inside the city.
Da Zero sits beside Halifax Public Gardens with a simple point of view: make food with care, serve it warmly, and let people stay awhile.
Warm, urban, uncomplicated.
The restaurant is designed for both ends of the day: a relaxed meal with friends, then a more intimate dinner once the light changes across the Gardens.
Fresh local ingredients anchor the kitchen. Imported Italian meats and cheeses bring the old-country pantry. The result is familiar without being predictable — pasta made in-house, pizza, charcuterie, lamb, seafood, wine and cocktails.
Chef Jeff Saunders.
Hands on, every day.
The current menu is led by Chef Jeff Saunders, with fresh pasta and ingredient-driven Italian cooking at its center. The premium redesign makes that craft visible instead of hiding it behind a menu PDF.
